Castle MacLaaran

Castle MacLaaran was built in the 14th century, and sits high in the beautiful mountains of Scotland upon a hill overlooking the valley below. It is renowned for its friendliness and warm ambience for all who abide within and all who come to visit. As you make your way up the road, you pass through a quaint village with a variety of shops and a couple of taverns for T/those that might wish to stop and have a refreshing drink after their long journey. Here you will find friendly faces and happy greetings from those that work and abide in the village and cottages nearby. As you draw closer, you hear the faint sounds of bagpipes greeting you. Coming to a stop at the stairs, you hear the music and laughter coming from within… Let us know if you are new to role play, as there are many here that will be happy to answer any questions. Our servants are just that... servants. They serve the Castle out of love for their home, and are free to come or go as they please. These servants do not wear a collar... they wear a simple necklace with the CM on it, and will be designated by a tag {CM} and will type in lower case at all times. You will meet some servants who are privately owned, and they should be treated as such. ROOM RULES Our rules are simple, and listed below. Please read and abide by them, so that your stay with us will be a pleasant one: Castle MacLaaran is a role-play room, so we ask that any “out of character remarks” are discussed in the shadows. (Private Messaging) To join the role play, a character name is required. Anonymous names such as “anonymous, watcher, observer, etc“ are free to observe, but will not be acknowledged for role play. As to not disrupt other's role play, we ask that all explicit sexual role play be consensual and kept in the "shadows" (Private Message). This INCLUDES posting of pictures that are showing explicit sexual acts. If you are unsure as to what constitutes "explicit," pm a Council member. Avatars are always welcome here, but we ask that they do not exceed 350 pixels in height. The servants are allowed to show nudity, but NO lower frontal shots please. This goes for both male and female servants. Neither Male or Female Nobles will be allowed to depict nudity in their avs, but Male Nobles may show a bare chest. Council M/members: Angelous, Sir Tristram, Lady Megana and zandra~{CM-2g} There is no King in MacLaaran. Never has been, never will be. There is a King in Edinburgh, which is the capital of Scotland. Sometimes His name is mentioned, but rarely. This room is run by the Council. This is a place of relaxation, good fun, and good people. Yes we have Guards and an Armory and such, but we choose not to actively roleplay fighting. We are a PEACEFUL place. You call us weak? Well don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. We choose not to fight. This is a NO KILL and NO CAPTURE room. If you would like to start an r/p that involves this, you must first gain approval by the Council. If a Council member deems an action or av inappropriate, he or she will pm and let you know, so that it can be changed. We are not the police S but we want everyone who stays with us to have a pleasant experience.
