MacLaaran servants servants are cherished in MacLaaran! Nobles are to be addressed as m'Lord or m'Lady. if you are unsure of the gender, you may politely ask. Castle servants are free to come and go as you please without asking permission, but out of respect for the room please let someone know you're going instead of just "x-ing" or "poofing" out with no word. if you are a privately owned servant and your Owner is not present, you need not ask permission to leave unless your Owner wishes you to do so. specific rules pertaining to an individual servant's conduct are left up to that servant's Owner... as long as it does not violate the basic rules of conduct. when you come into the room, it's assumed that you have done your regular work for the day. when you come in you are expected to be serving, visiting, or making some kind of attempt to keep the flow of the room going. you don't have to post chores on the webmaze message board or on the MacLaaran blog. if you are not needed for service though, you will need to find something to do. sitting in the room not posting doesn't do us any good. Dualling and gender-bending will not be allowed. One character per person, at a time please. The ONLY exception to this will be when a NPC (non-playing character) is used. If you want to add a NPC to the role play on a permanent basis, let a Council member know, so that he/she can be added to the website.
we are similar to Gorean slaves, but there are several key differences... 1) what we wear is OUR choice, not someone else's. as long as our av is not violating the rules, we're fine. for instance... spiorad enjoys wearing silk, while zandra prefers nothing or next to nothing 2) we do NOT "sweeten" drinks in a sexual manner in public. this goes for both Castle owned and privately owned servants. should you chose to do so, it must be done in a private message 3) we do not wear a collar, only a simple light chain necklace with a CM pendant. privately owned servants may wear any identifying jewelry they wish (in agreement with their Owner of course) 4) while we definitely encourage our servants to be sensual, we do not want to see blatant masturbation in public 5) we may sit on a Lord/Lady's lap, as long as it is consentual. we also may sit or kneel at that Lord or Lady's side. otherwise, our usual place is on the soft furs directly in front of the fireplace. KEEP IN MIND... you do not have to do anything sensual or sexual in nature that makes you uncomfortable in any way. if someone (Noble or servant) is bothering you, you need to pm a Council member or other Noble that you trust, so that it can be dealt with immediately.
being owned Just as it has been mentioned on the Nobles' page that owning a servant is not to be taken lightly, we say the same for our servants. Not anyone can be a servant, as it takes more than what can be taught. It must be felt in your actions all the time in the room, not just when you post a serve. A bit of sass is allowed, and even encouraged at times, but rest assured an attitude adjustment will be dealt out if it becomes a problem. A Noble will never strike you in anger, and that rule extends to your Owner as well. if Y/you T/two want to get kinky in the bedroom (PM) that's perfectly ok. *winks* you may find your lovely arse swatted or even paddled every now and then in public. It's all in fun though. E/everyone here is silly and flirtatious. If you're not comfortable with it, pm a C/council M/member (or Noble if no C/council M/member is present) If you are not privately owned, you belong to the Castle. At least 2 months time will have to pass before the Council approves r/p involving servant ownership. We want you to take the time to develop the trust that is so fundamentally important in this type of relationship. Talk about your expectations with your potential Owner and be sure it is something you can commit to. If you do not and accept, your relationship is doomed to fail. If you are privately owned, your Owner is to be obeyed at all times. If your Owner is not present and you are asked to do something by someone other than your Owner, and you know your Owner would not allow it, you must post in public that your Owner does not allow it. The person talking to you should be respectful, but pm a Council member if you have problems. We'll deal with it. If no Council member is present, use the ignore feature in config. |
